Technical Writer
Under general supervision, responsible for writing, editing and managing technical documentation and contract administration duties; assignments include working with various contracts or sections of contracts in writing and editing technical copy as related to proposals, such as Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Investment Grade Audit (IGA), presentations, etc.
 
Reviews and analyzes contracts to extract information, prepare summaries of key provisions and identify existing approved content.  Manages and updates marketing content library for use in preparation of contract templates and/or draft responses, as well as assists in the development and formatting of supporting materials (graphics, illustrations, tables,
etc.)
 
Interfaces with technical and sales professionals in the writing, editing, and production of various types of contracts; develops responsibilities matrix and manages timeline for projects to ensure on-time delivery by tracking and monitoring flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identifies and correct problem areas as they arise; providing quality assurance check for all document deliverables as outlined in RFP process. Establishes and maintain electronic and/or hardcopy data library of documents and work order files for documents received for processing and implements best ways to product documentation electronically, as outlined in RFP process.
 
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested, including editing and formatting support to other projects as needed.
 
Qualifications:
Must be able to format, structure, write, edit and finalize contracts/documents, including review and analysis of such contract information, preparing draft responses or regulatory interrogatories.
 
Excellent written communication skills; advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point, knowledge of integrated software applications, strong organization skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
 
Position requires a 4-year business, legal, or technical degree from an accredited college or university or a 2-year associate business degree with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant contract administration.

• Experience with Design of Process Skids



• Ability to develop technical specifications.



• Working knowledge of ASME and ANSI codes and standards required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  
 
 Perform and manage the engineering design and development of ODI’s products.

Leadership and execution of custom engineered-to-order subsea interconnect solutions, ranging from large-scale systems to component-level solutions.
Multi-tasking several projects simultaneously: reconfiguration of existing products, development of new products to meet customer needs, and leading ODI new product initiatives.
Regularly interface with customers to develop business in new and existing markets.
Generate, review and approve supporting documentation for designs including assembly drawings, detail drawings, and assembly/test procedures utilizing personal skills as those of fellow employees.
Provide engineering support to manufacturing and other departments, as required. 
Work with the Engineering Manager to coordinate activities of other engineers and designers.
Coordinate projects with account and project managers.
