Tutor will teach students specific writing skills.
Responsibilities: The tutor will be able to conduct proactive tutoring sessions that include the following features:
Welcomes and assists students in the sign-in process
Helps students with all aspects of the writing process
Assist graduate students with specific structure, format, or grammar related questions
Adheres to a 30 minute session when there is no “traffic" in the Writing Center
Keeps the appropriate length of appointment time (one hour or one hour and thirty minutes)
Skims papers to assess writing skills and helps students develop learning strategies
Sets an agenda with students, focusing on specific skills to be taught
Balances discussion time equally between tutor and students
Promotes maximum student participation (no “editing")
Provides students with resources (handouts, online resources)
Document student work and progress in database accurately and on time (after the session); records detailed comments on challenging sessions
Keeps updated files on individual students engaged in five-session seminars
Actively participates in WC Tutor Training Workshops and staff meetings
Performs other related duties as assigned by the WC/RL Coordinator

Private teacher / tutor needed for a high-functioning 10 year old special needs child. Retired elementary school teacher preferred, but not necessary.

The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for the management of the overall performance of the team along with being the coach, a motivator and mentor of the 20 to 25-person team. The goal of the ADOA is to instill a sense of team responsibility, team leadership and ultimately improve the student start rate through quality customer service, team performance and follow up. An integral part of the ADOA position is to coach the Team Leaders and ensure the skill development of the team.
Typical activities for an Associate Director of Admissions includes:
Manage Admissions Advisors and the day-to-day Admissions activities
Achieve team performance standards and lead the team in the accomplishment of meeting assigned goals
Use his/her expertise to coach Team Leaders and team members and ultimately increase the teams overall conversion and start rates.
Provide ongoing training for all team members (help) classes
Schedule lead distribution to Advisors
Implement and monitor student follow up procedures
Ensure Advisor accuracy with regard to student status changes in the CRM
Provide support for the Financial Aid Officers and the Registration Coordinators
Motivate and support team members
Keep team tracking boards up-to-date and accurate
Use metrics to analyze and improve team member production
Maintain communication with VP of Admissions, Director of Admissions, management of Financial Aid and Academic Advising, the Director of Training and Manager of Admissions Training. Provide feedback necessary to improve the student start process.
Know, maintain, adhere and comply with all appropriate corporate policies, state and federal regulations and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain knowledge of programs offered and take responsibility for keeping current with program changes and new programs offered
Participate in programs for self-improvement and professional development especially as it relates to coaching
Facilitate inter-departmental communications to help create a positive, team-oriented atmosphere
Performs all interactions with the highest level of customer service and professionalism
Perform various other duties as assigned by Management

Advises students in matters related to academics, attendance and behaviors.
Motivates students to actively participate in all aspect of the educational process.
Maintains and reports student grades and attendance in accordance with company policies.
Completes professional development and in-service activities in accordance with college standards.
Participates in department curriculum meetings.
